Stephany Castillo is a bilingual scientist and freelance translator who works with other scientists and life science companies to expand the impact and market of their research and products. 

 

Stephany believes it takes a dynamic scientist-translator to effectively and efficiently deliver quality translations in the ever-evolving life sciences.

During the last two years, she has worked at several institutions and startups including the University of Massachusetts Boston, NIDDK, open access scientific literature startup, ReFigure, and biotech startup Xheme. 

​

She is furthering her scientist-translator education by acquiring more research experience in a two year post baccalaureate research program at Novartis in the fall 2023 to prepare for a PhD program in developmental and cancer biology. Additionally, she completed the Translation Certification Program offered by the University of Massachusetts Boston in June 2023.

She holds a BS in Biology and Latin American Culture & Iberian Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
